I will dominate 'legitimate fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" the American as the pair met personally to publicize the upcoming bout.

Ex two-time world boxing king Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Mindset

"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to really want to injure him. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

In spite of those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather criticized ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British rival Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

However, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, frequently receiving massive earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers met for the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is really happening.
